Every year at the University of the West of Scotland, London Campus, we welcome over a thousand home and international students into our vibrant and diverse academic community. We do everything we can to help them prepare for life at UWS as well as supporting them during their studies. Our history The University of the West of Scotland’s roots can be traced back to 1848 and over this time we have evolved into a thoroughly modern institution that produces world leading research. UWS is a multi-award winning University which offers career focussed teaching and exceptional student support. We recently won Higher Educational Institution of the Year at the 2022 Herald Higher Education Awards and in the 2024 Times Higher Education (THE), Impact Rankings, UWS has been ranked 16th in the world for impact on the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal: Reducing Inequalities. Founded in 2015, UWS London is our newest campus. It is an inspiringly modern and well equipped operation, which is home to students from all over the world.
